Installation Process.
-
Free Home Assessment.
Our heat pump installation process starts with a free in-home assessment. Our technicians will measure your home & size your heat pump unit to maximize efficiency.
-
Deliver the equipment & install the inside unit(s).
One of our experts will select the optimal location on a wall inside your home to install the indoor unit. They will start by installing a mounting plate on the wall & attach the indoor unit to it.
-
Create an access point.
An access point between the indoor & the outdoor condenser allows your indoor unit to communicate with your outdoor unit. Our certified team will use a hole saw to drill a small hole on the outside of your home & a hole in the room your indoor unit is being installed to create that access point.
-
Connect the pipes.
The next step is to connect the refrigerant lines & the condensate line from the inside unit to the outside unit. Refrigerant will cycle through both the indoor & outdoor condensers either heating or cooling your home.
-
Install the outdoor unit.
Now let's finish the outdoor unit. We will mount your mini split to the side of your home & a bit off the ground to avoid the build-up of snow in the winter months.
-
It's time to bring in the electrician.
Both the indoor & outdoor units now have to be connected through the refrigerant lines & electrical wires. These lines will be run through conduits to protect them from the outdoor elements. There will also be a drain line installed outside your home to allow condensation to drain from your unit.
