I had a ducted heat pump system installed by Nova Heat Pumps in December 2024. I was in impressed by the service level from the first contact. I was kept up to date on all aspects of the install and in every instance, workers were on time, polite and informative. The system was installed on time and with no issues. The system is working beautifully, and the heat quality in the house has changed for the better – it seems more responsive, with no more cold or hot gaps. I appreciate the new thermostat and controlling my heat with an app. I would recommend Nova for this work. I has only been a month, but I am completely satisfied.

Firstly, we start with a free in-home assessment. Our technicians will measure your home & size your heat pump unit to maximize efficiency.
-
One of our experts will select the optimal location on a wall inside your home to install the indoor unit. They will start by installing a mounting plate on the wall & attach the indoor unit to it.
-
An access point between the indoor & the outdoor condenser allows your indoor unit to communicate with your outdoor unit. Our certified team will use a hole saw to drill a small hole on the outside of your home & a hole in the room your indoor unit is being installed to create that access point.
-
The next step is to connect the refrigerant lines & the condensate line from the inside unit to the outside unit. Refrigerant will cycle through both the indoor & outdoor condensers either heating or cooling your home.
-
Now let's finish the outdoor unit. We will mount your mini split to the side of your home & a bit off the ground to avoid the build-up of snow in the winter months.
-
Both the indoor & outdoor units now have to be connected through the refrigerant lines & electrical wires. These lines will be run through conduits to protect them from the outdoor elements. There will also be a drain line installed outside your home to allow condensation to drain from your unit.
